Anne Tham

ACE EdVenture Group

Anne Tham is the Group CEO & Founder of ACE EdVenture Group, a network of schools bringing a fresh approach to education through dynamic and interactive learning methods.

With over 20 years’ experience in education, Anne and her team are paving the way for education in the 21st century.

In 1995, Anne set off to make changes to the high school education curriculum after experiencing first-hand how a majority of school leavers lacked necessary skills that were vital for excellence on a global stage. By incorporating her innovative methods of engagement into full-fledged curricula, she was able to develop an educational experience that focuses on developing creativity and confidence – both foundational skills for leadership and innovation. What began as a private tutoring center has since flourished into 1,700 students across 3 schools. ACE is also home to Malaysia’s first ever entrepreneurial school, which teaches students from the age of 7 how to run profitable and sustainable businesses.

Anne has been recognized both as an education reformist and innovative entrepreneur. She was invited to speak at TEDxKL 2016, where she spoke on the topic “How to Be a Better Student by Playing Video Games”. Anne was also a top 3 nominee for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Women’s Category) in 2015 and was named Woman of the Year in 2016 by Her World Magazine. In September 2017, Anne along with her sister Melinda was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in the 74th Endeavor International Selection Panel in New York.
